Mom and I took Dad my TV last night, we got it set-up but he needed an indoor antennae so I ran to the store to get one, it helped a lot. We also brought him a cassette player and a new CD player, both with headphones. He was not very talkative, he's talking quietly. He says he feels ok and he says everyone there at Fernview is very nice to him. He wanted Mom to check his catheter, something was bothering him, she called the nurse and she came and they did have to insert a new one for some reason. The nurse stressed to him that if he was in any discomfort, he HAS to tell them. His left hand is swollen and bruised from all the needles, we asked for some ice for that. He was very sleepy, I was trying to program some radio stations for him, he was trying to change the TV and figure out the new remote, but he would fall asleep in between. He ate his dinner earlier we heard, but he didn't want his snack when they brought it. The Dr. was there when I went to go get the antennae and Mom said that he took her outside and said he is doing well. It made her feel a little better. Dad told me he had a couple visitors yesterday, he had a social worker come in and a pastor came and talked to him. Mom's friend Esther who is a Eucharistic minister is suppose to bring him communion today and twice a week now. We so appreciate that.
